Chris Trotter is the original Author for the Nuky effect.
I have tried countless times to contact him for permission
to modify and redistribute it. All contacts went unanswered.

This effect was originally built for FS2002, so it would not
work in FS9 / FS2004 as is. I have modified the FX so that it
will work flawlessly in FS2004. I also modified the
Nuke so it will drop rearward, instead of forward as the original did.
There is alot of major work done to get this to work right.
This effect simulates the bomb and explosion of a nuclear weapon.
It will not do damage to the scenery, though :(
Explosion looks great though!!
Place the bitmap (fx_nuke3.bmp AND fx_cra.bmp) into the texture folder in the Effects folder.
Copy the effects file (fx_Nukem) to the effects folder in FS9 / FS2004.
Open the aircraft's cfg folder you want to place these effects in with notepad. If you do not
have a {SMOKESYSTEM] in your aircraft cfg, then copy and paste the smokesystem (below) to the
bottom of your a/c. Close Notepad, hit yes when prompted to overwrite.
If you already have a [SMOKESYSTEM], then change the *smoke.0=* to *smoke.NEXT # =* in order of next.
Then save it.
Start FS9 / FS2004, and NUKE'M
Press "I" to drop bomb. It has a built in delay that I added, to make it look more realistic.
******* IMPORTANT *******
DROP THE BOMB WHILE FLYING AT LEVEL FLIGHT!!! Best altitude is 4,500 to 5,000 ft. The angle of the mushroom cloud depends on the angle/bank
of your aircraft. Weird things can happen- see for yourself if you must. Also, you can drop multiple Nukes, and get one helluva BANG.
This is freeware and can't be sold. Available for ONLY.
